15 PRESET COLORS + CUSTOM

AI Hair Color Changer

Going lighter, darker or trying a bold red? Upload a photo, choose one of 15 preset hair colors or a custom color, and see it on your own face before you book a colorist. Each generation pairs the color with one of our 23 hairstyles and gives you 2 variations to compare.

All 15 Hair Colors

The swatches show the shade each preset aims for. How it looks on you depends on your skin tone and the lighting in your photo, which is exactly why it helps to preview it first.

Custom Colors and Blonde Shades

Want something outside the presets, like blue or green? Use the custom color picker: the AI is given the nearest color name, so it works best for clear, bold colors rather than subtle in-between shades.

Thinking about going blonde? Our blonde hair try on guide compares the four blonde presets and explains how to choose one for your skin tone. To pair a color with a new cut, browse the women's hairstyles and men's haircuts.

Hair Color Changer FAQs

Which hair colors can I try?

There are 15 preset colors: Natural Black, Dark Brown, Medium Brown, Light Brown, Dark Blonde, Golden Blonde, Platinum, Strawberry Blonde, Auburn, Copper Red, Bright Red, Ash Grey, Silver, White, Blue Black. You can also pick a custom color.

How does the custom color picker work?

You pick any color on the color wheel, and the AI is given the closest of about ten color names, such as golden blonde, copper red, ash silver grey, royal blue or emerald green. That makes fashion colors possible, but a very specific shade may not come out exactly as picked.

Can I change only my hair color and keep my current cut?

Not exactly. Every generation applies one hairstyle and one color together, so there is no color-only option. Choose the preset closest to your current cut and pick the new color.

Will the preview match how the dye turns out?

No preview can promise that. A real result depends on your natural base color, any previous color, how much lightening is needed and the products your colorist uses. Use the preview to choose a direction, then talk it through with your colorist.
